Description:
Karl Marx’s Grundrisse (Penguin/Vintage), the unfinished notebooks to the volumes of Capital is the basic theorizing for his radical project the critique of political economy and capitalism. The Grundrisse, though incomplete, provides the clearest picture of Marx’s historical materialism and social dialectic. We will read important selections from the text slowly and thoroughly. The class is for all level of expertise but priority will be given to those who are new at reading Marx.
